What did the story Daedalus and Icarus taught us?

The story of Daedalus and Icarus is extraordinary. Daedalus went through a lot
of hardships in life. He failed in some of those because he loved what he was
doing so much that easily gets conquered by jealousy and anger but even
if killing is unacceptable, nobody is made perfect, we all are sinners but tha
does not mean we must not be prepared for what karma
has in stored for us. Just like what karma had for Daedalus when
Icarus died right in front of him but could not do anything
but watch his only son die. But even if that was the case, we can’t
deny that Daedalus was very passionate with what he does and is also
very good with it. He created a lot of thingshe was a great artist.
He himself was extraordinary, unique just like each one of us.

When Daedalus created the wings for him and Icarus, his main motive
was so that he and Icarus could escape.
He worked hard, used his creativity and skills.
We students must also be like Daedalus,
we must set our minds into a goal. One goal at a time.
But mindsets will not only bring you to your goal,
this mindset must be coupled with hard work,
determination and passion for what you’re doing just like Daedalus
when he created the wings to fly.

When Daedalus was successful with the wings, they flew and they
escaped from King Minos. If we follow Daedalus and work
hard to achieve our goals, we will be successful and soon we will be
finally living the life that we always dreamed of.
Although hardships will still be there, we just have
to follow the same thing and we can do it.
As of now, we students have set our minds of the goal to graduate
high school with no failing grades and with all our hard work,
we must graduate with flying colors.
We know that there are still a lot of things we will experience
but we know that nothing is impossible because we have our God.

WE WILL MAKE OUR OWN WINGS

"Flying is impossible but if you really want to fly, you will make your own wings. You will work hard because that's what you want. That's what you desire." -SNMagabilin

Who are we?

We, the creators of this blog and the contents are students from Saint Louis College-Cebu. We are five all in all, 3 girls and 2 boys. Although we may have different personalities but we managed because we know what are our weaknesses and our strengths. We know our limitations. We used our unique minds to explore ideas and that's how we came up with this blog.

HERE ARE THE MEMBERS:

Meet Kaye Angelique Recamadas. She is a young, shy but sweet girl. She is very helpful when she sees that someone needs it. Although she may be quiet, but she is bright and she has a lot of ideas in her mind that would be very useful in the present and future. She is the kind of peron you would want to hang out and be with.

Meet Jean Ann Pareja, this young, shy girl has a very sweet smile. You won't see her talking to a lot of people but it's not because she is anti-social. She just knows when and when not to talk. She knows how to keep her opinions to herself although she is very opinionated. You would definitely want to be her friend.
a
Meet Pablito Maique Jr.. This young, funny and handsome gent has a really good sense of humor. He knows when to say/act/put things in the right time and right place. He is also a loving son to his mother thus, he is very hardworking when it comes to school works. Pablito is the kind of person you'd love to meet and be close with.
Meet Joshua Perpetua. This handsome young lad has more than what the eyes meet. He is not only handsome but witty, sweet and caring. He has gone through a lot of hardships in life yet he never gave up and until now, he is fighting, striving to be the best that he can be. Joshua is definitely an inspiration to many.
Meet Samantha Nicole Magabilin. This lady is sweet, kind and is helpful. She loves helping people because she doesn't want other people to feel that they're alone. She wants them to feel loved and she wants people to be happy. Samantha is just a simple girl with big dreams just like all the students out there.

What is it really?

A group of students talking to each other using fluent English
English is used as medium of oral and written communication. It is spoken
everywhere in the campus of Saint Louis College- Cebu.
This drive is is to train students to be competent enough in the
real world especially in this generation that people learn more
than what they learn in school through the use of technology.

English drive has a reportorial system
A girl reporting two boys who is sabotaging
the English Drive.
and has a chip every time you violate
 the rule. The
English drive chip is
 used within the
 class only and the report
system is used inside and outside
 the classroom but whichever
comes first will prevail.
Each class has an English drive
 monitor to monitor the merits
 and demerits oeach student.
 You earn merits when you
 report someone violating
 the English drive, for every
three words, you earn 1 merit.
 While you earn a demerit
when you’re reported speaking a
vernacular word, for every word you
 spoke, you will have a
 demerit of 1 point.
And you also earn a demerit
when you are the last holder
 of the chip.

English drive is very useful for the students especially when they
go to college, apply for work, and when they are already
working in different fields of profession. They would not have a hard time
in communicating with different kinds of people and would
learn more because communicating is easier for them.

Saint Louis College-Cebu is training their students this and is very strict with
following these rules because they only want the best for their students They want to be proud of us, they want our parents not to regret that they chose the school in molding their children into better individuals
in the future. They want us students to be proud of ourselves
because of what we will soon be reaching
with the help of Saint Louis College-Cebu.

Where is it happening?

Saint Louis College - Cebu. It is the home of the Louisian family. Saint Louis College - Cebu is a place where you are given a chance to show what is best and what is inside you. You can express yourself by dancing by joining the dance troupe, singing by joining the choir, acting by joining dramatics, writing by joining publication, public speaking, playing sports, by serving our fellow Louisians or to serve the Lord so that you could also strengthen you faith in the Lord and at the same time, doing good with your studies. The school also teaches values so that we could be prepared and be better citizens not only in the present time but also in the future. Saint Louis is not only a school but a community where everyone helps each other in reaching their goals and dreams.

In Saint Louis, we may have faced a lot of stuggles and one of it is English Drive. Because of its implementation to this school, most of the students especially those who are still in Grade 7 are adjusting to this. And as a Grade 10 student, there is really a lot of pressure especially when most of the lower years are looking up to the higher years but abiding to this kind of rule helps us not only in enhancing or English language and our English accent but also to expand our vocabulary and be ready to be competent enough when the time comes that we, Louisians will be facing the real world.

The school assures you that the Lousians are well taken care of and are with good hands. Saint Louis College - Cebu is and will always be the place where we enjoy each others company. And when you are a Louisian, you could always say you are proud to be one. And remember, "If you said life is a book, High school is definitely a chapter of it.".
